Cavan County Council’s Historian-In-Residence, Dr. Brendan Scott presents ‘Cavan GAA and Politics 1884-1923’. ‘The GAA and politics have always been close bedfellows, especially during the first 40 years of its existence. This lecture will explore the GAA and Nationalist politics in Cavan from its early days, especially during the 1910s and early 1920s.’
This event forms part of Cavan County Council’s Decade of Centenaries 2022 programme and is supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media under the Decade of Centenaries 2012-2023 Initiative.
