Connectivity -Regional Roads

The East -West Strategic Road Corridor with previously planned cycle and walkways using some of the old planned re-aligned roads planned as far back as 2,000 with all feasibility and plans completed now needs to more Capital Funding allocated to develop planned Strategic Route linking Dundalk to Sligo via Carrickmacross, Shercock, Cootehill , Cavan ,Belturbet, Eniskillen Manorhamilton and Sligo. Enterprise & Tourism in the Region is crying out for this upgraded route which can be delivered in stages unlike Moterways which are presently non existent in our County presently. The All Ireland Fund should also be looked at in view of it’s importance North – South and East -West.
