Matt Carthy is a TD for Cavan Monaghan. Alongside Pauline Tully, he is one of two Sinn Féin representatives in the Dáil for this constituency.
Matt was previously a local Councillor (1999-2014) and a member of the European Parliament (2014 – 2020). He is currently SInn Féin’s spokesperson on Agriculture and also sits on the Dáil’s Public Accounts Committee.
He lives in Carrickmacross with his wife and five children.
