This magical Fairy Forest is dedicated to the memory of Erica Ní Draighneain, (2010-2016) and her unshakeable belief in fairies and magical kingdoms. A place full of wonder and adventure. Lots of interactive sculptures and treats for the imagination, this place is loved by kids and adults alike.
Erica was diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of 3. She began treatment and also received a bone marrow transplant, but unfortunately both were unsuccessful and sadly, Erica passed away in August 2016. Erica’s Fairy Forest opened on what would have been Erica’s 6th birthday in October 2016.
It was built and is maintained by a wide range of local dedicated people who contribute their talents and time in small and big ways. It is open all day, every day.
