Redeveloping Cootehill’s Iconic Hall to a State-of-the-Art Multifunctional Community Centre
Creating a Modern Vibrant Space for Our Community.
A strong voluntary led community committee was formed in 2022 to preserve the historic 120 yr old St Michael’s Hall and to construct extensions to deliver a multifunctional community space to meet current and future needs of generations to come. Once complete the project will deliver a focal point for the community and act as a catalyst for the regeneration of this area of Cootehill town centre, as well as providing a critical community space to assist with the revitalisation of the town centre.
This Project Will Deliver:
- An upgraded Performance Space with retractable seating.
- A Full Size Sports Hall with provision to sub divide into two smaller function rooms.
- 8 Meeting Rooms of various sizes
- A Redeveloped Entrance Lobby, reception area, kitchen, storage rooms and new toilet facilities.
- Accessible Balcony and Stage as well as a functioning backstage room & changing facilities.

Personal Contribution
For a contribution of €1000 you can choose to have your family named on our prominently placed patrons board in the new development. Payment Suggestions include:
1. One time payment of €1000
2. Annual payment over 3 years of €333 per yr.
3. Monthly direct debit over 36 months of €27.78
Corporate Contribution
We are kindly asking the business community for a corporate contribution of a minimum of €5000 towards this project.
For this contribution you can choose to have your corporate branding displayed as a sponsor in the hall for at least the first 3 years in the new facility. Payment ptions available.
Corporate Plus Contribution
Get naming rights on one of the 8 new meeting/training rooms in St Michael’s Hall. In return for your generous contribution the room of your choice will be available for your company free of charge for the first 5 years. Includes having your corporate branding displayed as a sponsor in the hall for the first 3 years.
Online Contribution
A Go Fund Me page has been set up to allow for a donation of any amount to be made by people all over the world who have an association or memory of St Michael’s Hall. You may even have a tenuous link to Cootehill and hold a ‘gra in your heart’ for our community. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and can also be made directly on this website.
